The Day I Realized Saving Money Is Not Easy
For a long time, I believed saving money was only for people who earned a big salary. Every month I used to think, “Next month I will definitely save something.” But somehow the salary always disappeared before the month ended.
One day I checked my bank balance and realized I had almost nothing left even after working so hard the entire month. That moment honestly scared me. I started thinking about emergencies, family responsibilities, and future goals.
I decided to write down every expense for one month. The results shocked me. Most of my money was going into small unnecessary things — food delivery, random online shopping, and subscriptions I barely used.
That month I made a simple rule for myself: save first, spend later. Even if it was only a small amount, I started keeping money aside before spending on anything else.
Slowly things started changing. I stopped ordering food daily, reduced useless expenses, and became more careful before buying anything. The amount I saved was not huge in the beginning, but it gave me confidence.
Today I still don’t consider myself perfect with money, but I finally understand that saving is not about earning lakhs of rupees. It is more about habits, patience, and discipline.
Sometimes small financial decisions can completely change your future.
